Gisele Bundchen is 42! Her husband Tom Brady, 44, shares tribute

Tom Brady wished his wife Gisele Bundchen a very happy 42nd birthday on Instagram on Wednesday.

The football player shared that his lady love inspired him with her ‘honesty and authenticity’ as he added a red heart emoji in his caption.

The 44-year-old budding fashion designer paired his message with a picture of the Brazilian beauty in a skintight dress flashing a megawatt smile in an outdoor setting.

‘Happy Birthday @gisele. Enjoy your special day and I know this year will be your best year yet ❤️. Thank you for inspiring me with your honesty and authenticity,’ wrote the athlete. 

Former Olympian Lindsey Vonn liked the post. 

In the photo, the 5ft11in stunner looked happy with a fresh face and untamed tresses. 

On her own Instagram page Gisele shared a note on Wednesday about helping the environment. 

‘Nothing is random! When things inspire you, when they move you, and make you vibrate, pay attention! They might be connected to your purpose in life,’ she said. 

‘Doing my part to make the world a better place is what moves and excites me. I am very happy to share a new initiative that will support seven projects across different Brazilian biomes. We need these ecosystems to be in balance, so we can all continue to thrive. 

‘Thank you, BrazilFoundation, for your support! Through my Luz Alliance Fund, we will continue supporting initiatives that bring greater awareness of the importance of preserving and regenerating our beautiful earth and creating a better world for all of us who live in it, now and for generations to come.’

The photogenic pair began dating back in 2006 and were married in a small Catholic ceremony in Santa Monica, California in 2009.

This comes after he said the ‘hardest thing’ about being a parent is getting his children to understand they are privileged.

The sports star – who has Vivian Lake, nine, and Benjamin Rein, 12 with wife Gisele Bündchen as well as 14-year-old Jack with ex-partner Bridget Moynahan – admitted that he struggles to explain to his children that their ‘reality’ is not the same for most kids.

He said: ‘We have people that clean for us. We have people that make our food. We have people that drive us to the airport if we need that. We get off a plane and there’s people waiting there for us and we get ushered in. That’s my kids’ reality which is the hard part to say, guys, this is not the way reality really is…what can we do about that?

‘ I think we can try to create experiences that are more along the lines of what most kids go through even though they will still have experiences that a lot of kids never do have.’

The NFL star – who has served as a football quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for over 20 seasons – went on to explain that because he and his wife both came from humble beginnings, he hopes that his children will realize that their lifestyles are a ‘treat’ that others do not experience.

Speaking on the ‘DRIVE’ podcast, he added: ‘You just hope you can show them enough things to realize when they are doing things that are selected for mom and dad to make our lives more convenient that that is a treat. 

‘That is something that not every kid goes through. Probably the hardest thing is that my wife grew up in rural Brazil, the farthest state south, Rio Grande do Sul, very small kind of farming town, a very simple girl.

‘There are two bedrooms in their house — one for their parents and one for her and her five sisters. I grew up in, I would say, a middle-class family in California, my dad worked his a** off for our family. My mom stayed at home [and] took care of us kids and I saw my mom work every day to make food for us at night and wash our clothes and now they supported us by coming to all our games and it was amazing and then I look at my life with my family and it’s so fast.’
