British UFC star Lerone Murphy in in hospital after a serious traffic accident that almost killed him on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old from Manchester, nicknamed ‘Miracle’ after he survived being shot in the face, has detailed a second near-death experience.
Murphy posted an image of himself in hospital with a thick bandage wrapped around his head and wrote: ‘Ffs I can’t catch a break. Another near death experience.

‘Yesterday while cycling, a oncoming car turned right without looking and we collided at speed.
‘Which caused a nasty head wound. The ambulance took 45 minutes to arrive which nearly caused me to bleed out. I’m here still breathing for a greater purpose clearly.’
The terrifying ordeal comes nine years after Murphy somehow escaped with his life after being gunned down outside a barbers.
Murphy, then aged just 21, was leaving a barbershop one balmy spring afternoon when he was approached by a gunman.

Bystanders heard shouts of ‘please don’t’ before the attacker fired three bullets into the youngsters face and neck.
Unbelievably, Murphy survived the attack. After one week in intensive care and a further week in hospital, he suffered very little long-lasting damage from the episode, requiring only a new set of prosthetic teeth as well as sporting a tiny shard of bullet permanently embedded in his tongue.
Murphy previously spoke about the incident to the Manchester Evening News, saying: ‘When it happened it kind of knocked me out for a second then I’ve woken up and thought “wow I’m still here”.

Murphy has impressed in his relatively short career and moved to a record of 12-0-1
‘Of course I do still think about it, I have visions of it and stuff – it was a traumatic experience.
‘I’m not sure why it happened. It’s one of those things, it could have been mistaken identity or it could have been something I’d done in the past or anything, I don’t know.
‘The Miracle’ name comes from the doctors wondering how did I survive, how wasn’t I killed from that?’ he says.
‘So yeah it’s a miracle I’m here today really.’
Murphy was a promising footballer as a youngster but then turned his attention to combat sports and rapidly progressed.
He remains undefeated in 12 professional fights, four of which have been in the UFC.
