Hologram wedding cost $17K | Under the Covers with Danica Daniel

This love story is stranger than fiction. Akihiko Kondo, 38, is a “fictosexual,” a person who’s attracted to a fictional character. His girlfriend is a blue-haired hologram, with whom he chats via a Gatebox, a tabletop communication device retailing for $1,300. Combined with their  $17K nuptials, this Japanese Romeo spent over 20 G’s to find true love.
