Listen: Johnny Depp calls Amber Heard a ‘fat ass’ in trial recordings

Audio recordings of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s explosive fights were played in court Monday as the third week of the doomed couple’s defamation trial kicked off.

In the new clips, presented by Heard’s legal team during cross-examination of Depp, the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star can be heard berating his ex-wife.

“Shut up fat ass,” Depp yells at his-ex-wife in one of the never-before heard recordings.

The vicious comment came after Heard yelled at him to “put his cigarettes out on someone else.”

Depp denied putting his cigarette out on Heard, telling the jury she was grossly exaggerating.

In other snippets, played by Heard attorney Ben Rottenborn, Depp calls the “Aquaman” actress a “c—t.”

He also warns about what could happen if their argument continued.

“The next move, if I don’t walk away … it’s going to be a bloodbath, like it was on the island,” Depp says on one recording.

In another snippet, Heard references a time when Depp allegedly “beat the s—t” out of her.

The packed courtroom in Fairfax, Virginia was silent as the intense and often graphic clips played. Depp winced and Heard appeared to fight back tears while listening to the audio.

Depp, 58, is suing Heard, 35, for $50 million, claiming she defamed him in a 2018 Washington Post opinion piece in which she described herself as a victim of domestic abuse. Depp was not named in the essay, but he says it clearly referenced him — and ruined his career, damaged his reputation and lost him tens of millions of dollars.

Heard’s attorneys argue that Depp did abuse the actress, physically and sexually, and claim that his denials are not credible because he was often too drunk or high to recall what happened.

The audio made up much of Monday’s cross-examination, with Rottenborn also grilling Depp over vulgar text messages the actor sent — including one in which he wrote that Heard “is as full of s–t as a Christmas goose.”

The message came after the now-infamous 2015 fight with Heard in Australia that left Depp with a severed finger.

In the same text, read in court, Depp called Heard “a malicious, evil and vindictive c—t” who had an “obsession with herself” and was “so desperate for success and fame.”

Depp, who was testifying for the fourth day, expressed his irritation with Rottenborn’s questions.

In one testy exchange, he snapped to the lawyer: “I’m sorry, I was talking. Is that alright?”

Depp also seemed peeved as Rottenborn read headlines from a series of negative articles written about the actor, some dating back to 2014.

“These are all hit pieces. These are dreck,” he said.
