Whether it is intentional or not, this mugshot shows a newly-arrested crook do an impression of his namesake.

Alpacino Veii, 25, pouted similar to the way Al Pacino pouts in Scarface after being arrested for trying to badly injure someone with a car.

He got into a fight with three other men in the early hours of November 10, 2019, in Brighton.

Veii split away from the pack but the fighting continued. Moments later he drove down the road, mounted the pavement and hit one man, narrowly avoiding several witnesses.

The car crashed into decking and then onto the central reservation where it became stuck.

He tried to push the vehicle to get it moving again but was stopped by police and arrested.

Police found that he had cannabis and was only driving on a provisional licence.

He has now been jailed for three years at Chichester Crown Court.

He also received a concurrent one-day jail sentence for admitting possession of cannabis and was disqualified from driving for one year.

Detective Neil Phillips said: ‘This was a shocking escalation of an argument between a group of people that could easily have had tragic consequences for those involved and innocent members of the public.

‘It is satisfying to see Alpacino Veii brought to justice for his reckless, dangerous attack and I would like to thank the victims and everybody involved in the investigation for their help in securing this sentence.’
