Europa League draw LIVE: West Ham, Rangers, Barcelona to discover fates

The Europa League draw is finally upon us and a host of top teams around the world are eagerly awaiting their fate as the competition progresses into the knock-out stages. Rangers, following their historic two-legged victory over Borussia Dortmund, have emerged as one of the favourites to go all the way this season.

Rangers however are not seeded heading into the last 16 of the competition, just like Spanish royalty Barcelona.

David Moyes’ West Ham United are the only seeded British side remaining in the Europa League after topping their group, joining the likes of Red Star Belgrade, Eintracht Frankfurt, Galatasaray, Bayer Leverkusen, Lyon, Monaco and Spartak Moscow.

A series of mouthwatering ties could well be lined up, with Champions League regulars FC Porto, RB Leipzig and Atalanta also in the mix.

The eight sides who won their Europa League group will be seeded and drawn against the eight sides who won their play-off tie.

No team can play a club from their own country, while he sides who finished top of their Europa League groups will play the second leg of their last-16 tie at home.

In terms of scheduling, the first legs of the last-16 ties will be played on March 10, with the return fixtures a week later on March 17. The final itself will take place in Seville on May 18.c
