Brook was as confident as ever after the fight and hinted he may continue boxing. He told Sky Sports: ‘I’ve done everything I had to.

‘I put on different gloves in the ring as he said he was not happy with my gloves. They said ‘you will not get paid if you do not put on these gloves’. I did everything I had to do and still took him apart.

‘They tried to get into my head by pushing and poking me, but I took care of business as I said I would do. He even had someone knock on my hotel door at three or four in the morning to disrupt my sleep.’

The 35-year-old added: ‘I can live at peace with Amir Khan on my record.

‘My mojo is back and I love this game. We will listen to loved ones and see but I’m back, baby.’
