Joe Biden's mother 'hated' England so much she refused to sleep in bed Queen had slept in

Joe Biden’s mother, Jean, reportedly has a deep dislike for England, as revealed by Mr Biden during his time as Vice President, comedian Georgia Pritchett wrote. Ms Pritchett, who has five Emmys is currently a writer and co-executive producer on HBO’s Succession, met the 46th US President because she was conducting research for the hit comedy Veep.

The comedian recalled her conversation with the Vice President at the time, when they first talked about Ukraine, before quickly changing the subject.

She wrote: “He changed the subject to how much his mother hated the English.

“His parents were Irish and she had written several poems about her hatred of the English.

“He went off to find them and returned with hundreds of poems describing how God must smite the English and rain blood on our heads.”

Biden’s mother, who was born in 1917, is said to have played a key role in both the President’s personal and political life.

Jean apparently played a “formidable” role in his upbringing, according to a New Yorker article.

It said: “In grammar school, he recalls, a nun mocked him for stuttering, and his mother, a devout Catholic, told her, ‘If you ever speak to my son like that again, I’ll come back and rip that bonnet off your head.’”

She helped Mr Biden campaign for the Senate in 1972, and for the President in 2008.

His mother, who passed away in 2010, also joined the 79-year-old politician on the campaign trail when he was selected as Vice President.
