Matthew Stafford embraces wife Kelly on field after Rams clinch Super Bowl berth

Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford shared a special moment Sunday with wife Kelly after clinching his first-ever Super Bowl berth.

Following the NFC Championship game, in which the Rams topped the 49ers, 20-17, the Staffords embraced on the field, with Kelly wrapping her arms around her husband of nearly seven years.

Dressed in a blue tank top with Stafford’s No. 9 etched on the front and matching blue pants, Kelly was later seen rocking a Rams championship hat as she walked on the field at SoFi Stadium.

Earlier in the game, Kelly was seen celebrating in her suite with loved ones while sporting a Rams jacket.

Stafford, who had never won a playoff game until this season, threw for 337 yards in Sunday’s win with two touchdowns and one interception. The Rams will now host the Bengals in Super Bowl 2022 at home in Los Angeles on Feb. 13.

Much has changed for Stafford and college sweetheart Kelly in the past 12 months. Last January, the quarterback was traded to the Rams after 12 seasons with the Lions, who drafted him first overall in 2009.

As for Kelly, who shares four children with Stafford, she too has embraced new beginnings in Los Angeles. In fact, she recently launched the podcast, “The Morning After with Kelly Stafford.”

And, based on Sunday’s final score, this week’s episode may be one of the most memorable yet.
