Cristiano Ronaldo has taken to social media to share a picture of himself training alongside his son on Sunday afternoon.
Ronaldo shared the photos of himself and Cristiano Jr training on his Instagram account with the following caption: ‘Present and future’.
Ronaldo was seen running around the pitch topless while his son was donning a Manchester United training top.
Cristiano Jr joined the Manchester United academy when his father made a sensational return to the club after 12 years away.
The 36-year-old’s son was pictured alongside Nemanja Matic’s son on his way to training in September 2021.
He has been training regularly since then and was filmed wearing the famous United jersey playing up-front like his father in November.
Big things are expected for Cristiano Jr – which comes as no surprise given the success of his father.
Ronaldo seems to have similar expectations to everyone else as he dubbed his son as ‘the future’ of football.
Fans couldn’t help but jump on the bandwagon with one supporter taking to social media to say: ‘The future GOAT’.
Another added: ‘So many goals in one picture’, while one wrote: ‘United training kit even during his personal training? That’s it. Cristiano jr is ours.’
Others said: ‘He’s sporting the United gear, 2030 treble winners in bound’. Before one fan wrote: ‘Ronaldo junior. The Prem ain’t ready’.

It’s not the first time Cristiano Jr has been touted as a rising star. Ronaldo’s mother, Dolores Aveiro, claimed that her grandson was ‘better than his father was at his age’.
Aveiro said that Ronaldo Jr will reach the same heights his father and expressed her desire for the 11-year-old to play for Sporting Lisbon – the club where her son made his breakthrough – in the future.
Aveiro also said she hopes United star Ronaldo will return to Sporting once last time before he hangs up his boots.
“Let’s see…,” he [Ronaldo] said, but if it isn’t [him], it’s Cristianinho!,’ Aveiro said when asked about Ronaldo returning to Sporting.
‘At his age, he [Cristiano Jr] plays better than Ronaldo. At the time, Ronaldo didn’t have a coach, but today Ronaldo is his son’s teacher.’
