Giovanni Pernice addresses claim Rose Ayling-Ellis is 'pulling out of Strictly tour'

Giovanni Pernice, 31, took to Instagram and shared a cheeky video online today. The Strictly Come Dancing champion reacted to rumours that his dance partner Rose Ayling-Ellis, 27, had pulled out of the arena tour which is set to kick off on Thursday.

The Italian-born dancer took to the picture-sharing site and cleared up the claims in a candid clip.

In view of his 792,000 followers, Giovanni could be seen sitting on a train as he spoke into his camera phone.

He began: “Good morning lovely people. Just a quick message to clarify all the rumours that are going around at the moment.

“Yes, it’s true. Rose is not doing the tour at all anymore.”

The EastEnders actress also shared Giovanni’s video clip, in view of her 537,000 followers.

Rose, who won Strictly last year, is scheduled to be taking part in the 2022 tour alongside baker John Whaite and Johannes Radebe, presenter Rhys Stephenson and Nancy Xu, chef Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin, and Dragons’ Den investor Sara Davies and Aljaz Skorjanec.

Max George from boyband The Wanted is also set to take part in the tour with professional dancer Katya Jones.

He was a contestant on the show back in 2020.
