Tesco, Asda & more recall dairy product due to danger to all customers – 'do not eat it'

Food recalls are issued when a product is unsafe for customers to consume, or it could cause harm to someone with allergies. Now, major British supermarkets are recalling a dairy product because it contains pieces of metal.

Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, and Iceland are the latest companies to recall a food product that could cause harm to people if eaten.

Yoplait’s Frubes Variety Pack are being recalled because the item contains small pieces of metal.

Yoplait is recalling the product, therefore the supermarkets where it is sold are doing the same.

The variety pack includes strawberry, red berry, and peach flavoured Frubes.

There are nine Frubes in a pack, which is 37g in size.

The use by date is February 9, 2022.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has stated the batch description on its website. This is: “09 Feb C.”

The FSA then went on to explain what action the company has taken to withdraw this product from shelves.

DON’T MISS:

It said: “Yoplait is recalling the above product.

“Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling this product.

“These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.”

The FSA also posted its advice to customers, saying: “If you have bought the above product do not eat it.

“Yoplait is recalling our Frubes Strawberry, Red Berry & Peach Variety Pack 9x37g.

“Small metal pieces have been found in some of the peach flavour Frubes within this multipack.

“Although only a small number of products are expected to be affected, Yoplait is recalling the full range of this product, with the listed Use By Date, putting consumers safety as our ultimate priority.”

The company added: “If you have a product with this use by date, do not eat it.

“Please instead, return it to the store where it was bought for a full refund (with or without a receipt).

“No other Yoplait or Frubes products are affected by this recall.

“We are very sorry for any impact or inconvenience this may cause.”
