'I expect favouritism' Brendan Cole's warning to Oti Mabuse ahead of Dancing On Ice

Dancing on Ice celebrity Brendan Cole has pleaded with fellow dancer and judge Oti Mabuse for a hint of “favouritism”. The former strictly professional hopes to get one step ahead of his competitors when the competition kicks off this weekend on ITV.

Partnered with professional Vanessa Bauer, 25, she was quick to add a disclaimer.

“I think we just want to do the best that we possibly can in week one,” she jumped in with.

The pair already alluded to the fact that people have said “it’s not fair” as Brendan is a dancer, and although a very different discipline, dance skills such as musicality and a keen sense of balance should come in handy.

He tried to sweet-talk Oti during the interview and couldn’t sing the judges praises enough.

Two-time Glitterball trophy winner Oti will be making her judging debut this weekend.

In December last year, the news was announced she would be replacing actor John Barrowman, and fans of the show were excited to see her on the panel.

The official Dancing on Ice Twitter account shared a picture last year to break the news, which had all the judges, Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo, now joined by Oti.

“Excellent news! The best judging lineup for years,” fan Amy tweeted in support.
