Kanye West is accused of PUNCHING a fan who asked for his autograph and is now being investigated for criminal battery

  •  Kanye West was sitting in an SUV when he was approached by a fan outside the Soho Warehouse in Downtown Los Angeles around 3 a.m. on Thursday 
  • The fan asked his autograph which reportedly led to a heated exchange
  • West allegedly punched the fan, knocking him to the ground 
  • Police are investigating the crime as misdemeanor criminal battery, which carries a maximum jail sentence of 6 months

Kanye West is being investigated for criminal battery after being accused of punching a fan who asked for his autograph early Thursday morning.  

West allegedly got into an argument with the fan that turned violent around 3 a.m. outside the Soho Warehouse, a members-only club, in Downtown Los Angeles, Fox 11 reported.  

The fan approached West, who was sitting in his SUV outside the club, and asked for his autograph.

There was a heated exchange and West allegedly punched the fan, knocking him to the ground, before driving away.

 A video obtained by TMZ shows an apparent irate West, who could be heard yelling, ‘Did y’all say that or not? Did y’all say that or not? ‘Cause that’s what happened right f–king now.’

 Police are investigating the crime as misdemeanor battery, which carries a maximum jail sentence of 6 months. 

Earlier in the evening, West had been partying at Delilah nightclub in West Hollywood with Julia Fox, TMZ reported. He left while she remained at the club.
