Piers Morgan offered big cash to fake his own death after near-fatal shark stint

The celebrity contestants would be lowered inside of a cage, which was intended to keep them safe.

At the time, the outspoken journalist asked the show producers what would happen in the event the cage managed to break open.

He claimed the response he received was that the moment would make “great TV”.

Piers began: “I didn’t think anything could be less appealing than ‘Celebrity Shark Bait’ where I was offered £100,000 to be lowered inside a cage into a South African sea full of deadly Great Whites.”
