England face an enormous task to save the second Ashes Test after losing two late wickets on day two in Adelaide.
Australia had declared on 473 for nine before Rory Burns and Haseeb Hameed were dismissed by Mitchell Starc and debutant Michael Neser, leaving the visitors 17 for two at stumps.
Dawid Malan and Joe Root shared a 162-run stand in Brisbane before England’s second innings collapse there and they will be hoping to at least replicate that partnership when they walk out on the third day at the Adelaide Oval.
