How to stop pine needles falling from your Christmas tree

Christmas tree drops their needles when they are cut.

It’s hard to avoid, but you can try to delay the process as much as possible.

The best way to avoid Christmas tree needles dropping is to buy a tree that is very fresh.

The older the tree, the more the needles will drop.

Trimming the stump regularly also helps, as it enables the tree to soak up water better.

Make sure your tree is not being kept by a radiator or a fire, as the heat will cause needles to drop.

A flowers expert gave Express.co.uk her tips to keep your Christmas tree fresh and help it last as long as possible.

Anna Eklov, the creator of LOV Flowers, advised Britons on keeping their real Christmas tree alive, including “resting the tree”.

Tanya has also detailed a “quick and easy” hack to peel potatoes.

Tanya said, in her video: “I don’t know about you, but peeling potatoes is my least favourite thing to do, especially at Christmas, when there is so much to do before guests arrive.

“It’s quick and easy, no mess, and you don’t have to worry about the skin getting everywhere.”

The amazing tips sees potato skins simply slide away.
