Bronski Beat keyboardist Steve Bronski has died. The star’s bandmate Jimmy Somerville took to Twitter to confirm the tragic news of the Glaswegian’s death this afternoon.
Steve, born Steve Forrest, was a founding member of 1980s pop group Bronski Beat, which included Jimmy and Larry Steinbachek.
The trio had UK top 10 hits with their cover of Donna Summer’s I feel Love and gay anthem Smalltown Boy, Why?.
In view of his 10,300 followers, Jimmy penned a poignant tribute to his friend and bandmate.
He wrote: “Sad to hear Steve Bronski has died.
