Kirstie responded to Michael directly and urged him to read the whole article so that he could see what she was trying to say in the correct context.
She tweeted in view of her 425,000 followers: “If you had read the piece, not just a headline in a tweet, you would recognise I was talking not about Covid itself, but about honesty of opinion, especially with regard to protecting children in this pandemic.
“I am sad that you, of all people, descended to sarcastic Twitter trolling.”
Kirstie, who actually had Covid when she did part of the interview, made the comment while saying she thinks it is “bizarre” some public figures have remained silent over issues surrounding the pandemic.
