'Escalated so quickly' Grey's Anatomy insider on Isaiah Washington and Patrick Dempsey row

He claimed he witnessed that the actor “went after Patrick, pushed him up against the wall, and said, ‘You can’t talk to me the way you talk to that little f***** T.R.’”

He added: “Everyone knew T.R. was gay. For some reason, Isaiah just lost it and pinned Patrick up against the wall.

“You could see Isaiah’s pupils go wide, like, ‘What did I do?’ It was quiet. Everyone had to leave the set.”

Washington issued an apology about the situation back in 2007.

However, he went on to dispute the story, explaining during an appearance on Larry King Live at the time that he had never used the “F-Word” in reference to Knight.

He claimed he had instead told Dempsey to stop treating him like a “F-word” during an argument “provoked” by his co-star.

The actor also claimed he believed the word to mean “weak” or “a person who is not deserving of respect”.
