Temperatures have truly plummeted over the past few days, with Tuesday bringing a little surprise of some warmer waves. However meteorologist Lucy Verasamy, 41, had some bad news that winter is here, and it’s here to stay.
The UK is known for its fluctuating temperatures but as we head into December, the bitter cold isn’t going anywhere any time soon.
Posting a weather update on Twitter, the MetDesk account shared the news.
“A brief milder interlude today, but don’t get too used to it…” they penned.
“Back to bitterly cold business as usual from tomorrow!”

Lucy paid homage to the last few days of summer with the series of sunny snaps.
Donning a smart trilby hat, she casually leaned against the bale as she gazed into the distance with a hand on her hip.
The TV star dressed appropriately for the weather as she gave her 155,000 followers a flash of her toned legs.
Matching the skirt with a navy, round-neck T-shirt, Lucy looked every inch the country girl.
