Man Utd chief Richard Arnold 'not pleased' with Ed Woodward after delay decision

McGarry says there is confusion over Rangnick’s long-term role at United as well as who will make the decision.

He added: “And Woodward has proven himself to be clearly someone who is not up to the particular job, given United’s status and the lack of trophies they have achieved under his stewardship outside of Jose Mourinho.

“So we are looking at a situation whereby not only is the next head coach or interim, in the case of Rangnick, unsure over where he stands going forward, but also the decision-making process itself is being fudged by a bit of power struggle between Woodward and Arnold.”

Speaking in April, Woodward spoke of his pride at his tenure at Old Trafford.
