“And also, because I think that’s a very honest portrayal of himself. He’s like, ‘No, no, no. I want you to see what I’ve built and the way I’ve done it. It’s beautiful, it’s power, it’s grisly, it’s intelligent, it’s witty, it’s dark, it’s bloody, but it’s real.’
“I think he wants people to challenge history and the way we interpret it,” he concluded.
