Earlier, President Biden said: “No democracy is perfect, and no democracy is ever final.
“Every gain made, every barrier broken, is the result of determined, unceasing work.”
Xavier Chang, spokesperson for Taiwan’s presidential office, thanked Mr Biden for the invitation, saying it would be “a force for good in international society”, according to the Guardian.
