PlayStation 5 Direct UK LIVE ahead of next PS5 restock

The upcoming weeks could be busy with PS5 stock updates from major retailers, and another source for consoles has just been added.

Gamers in the UK can now use the PlayStation Direct website to buy hardware and other items from the company directly.

This means that during the next PS5 restock, gamers will be able to purchase a PlayStation 5 from the website run by Sony.

Heading over to the website will confirm that there are no consoles to be bought right now, and there is no ETA for when they will be back in stock.

However, with reports of some large restocks coming our way, it would make sense that Sony would be one of them.

That doesn’t mean anything will happen this week, but there’s a chance that PS5 stock will be made available via PS Direct before the end of 2021.

To use PlayStation Direct to buy a PS5 console, you will need to have an existing PSN account.

Sony sometimes releases stock to the general public, using a queue method until they run out of stock.

Other times Sony provides special opportunities to buy consoles via email, making it possible to purchase one without battling the crowds.

But while there is no PlayStation 5 restock at Direct this week, there is another that could be very useful.

Stock trackers have confirmed that Argos will be restocking the PS5 sometime this week, possibly later today at 8am GMT, or on Friday, November 12.

The new PlayStation 5 shipment expected to arrive later this week will come with a few limitations.

This includes Argos only providing disc edition PS5 stock, with no digital variants expected to be included.

And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:

AMAZON UK: Amazon UK runs better under strain but still comes with a few kinks worth mentioning. Having an account set up with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wishlist before checking out.

GAME: GAME is a UK retailer that offers the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout, as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. There are no new dates for when the next PS5 restock will happen.

ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and being unable to complete purchases when site traffic is high. Stock trackers suggest using the mobile Argos app and keeping an eye on local store listings. Argos is expected to drop new stock between November 9 and November 12.
