Liverpool already know their 'long-term successor to Jordan Henderson'

Manchester United and Manchester City are both reportedly interested in the former Birmingham City playmaker, but Liverpool legend John Barnes feels that Anfield would, coincidentally, be the best move for the England international.

He told BonusCodeBets, via Liverpool Echo: “Jude Bellingham would absolutely be a good signing and he fits the profile of what Liverpool midfielders are: he’s strong, he works hard, he’s up and down.

“That type of player who’s got good energy, can attack and defend, has a great attitude, would suit Liverpool more than Man City for example. That’s not to say that he’s not good enough for City, but he’s a profile of a midfielder Liverpool like.”

It remains to be seen whether Jurgen Klopp’s side are fortunate enough to secure the signature of Bellingham, who transfermarkt value at £63m, and if so, how he will grow and develop at Anfield.
