John Travolta took to social media yesterday on what would have been his late wife’s 59th birthday. American actress Kelly Preston died on July 12, 2020 two years after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
John and Kelly were married for almost 30 years, right up until her tragic death last year.
They had three children together, Ella, 21, Ben, ten and son Jett, who died in 2009 at the age of 16.
Yesterday, the 67-year-old Saturday Night Fever star wished his late wife a happy birthday in an emotional Instagram post.
“Happy Birthday Kelly. We miss and love you very much,” he wrote online, in view of his 3.6 million followers.

Ella also shared her own loving birthday tribute on the picture-sharing site.
“Happy Birthday Mama, I love and miss you so much,” she penned.
The accompanying picture showed a young Ella as a flower girl alongside her beautiful mum.
The youngster is following in her parents’ footsteps and has been cast as the lead in upcoming film Get Lost, a modern-day version of Alice in Wonderland.
Kelly died at the age of 57 after a two-year battle with breast cancer.
“She fought a courageous fight,” John wrote online, when he announced the news of her death on social media with a “very heavy heart”.
“Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered,” the emotional star added.
Ella wrote online at the time: “Anyone who is lucky enough to have known you or to have ever been in your presence will agree that you have a glow and a light that never ceases to shine and that makes anyone around you feel instantly happy.
“Thank you for being there for me no matter what. Thank you for your love.”
