Teen boys shot inside NYC fried chicken restaurant

Two teen boys, ages 13 and 16, were shot inside of a fried chicken restaurant in Harlem on Wednesday night, police said.

The victims were wounded in the shooting at Mama’s Fried Chicken on Frederick Douglass Boulevard near West 116th Street at about 8:40 p.m., cops said.

The 13-year-old was shot in the head and the other boy was struck in the back, police said.

Both victims were taken to local hospitals and are expected to survive, authorities said.

It was not immediately clear what sparked the violence.

The restaurant could not be reached for comment.

Police said they took a 17-year-old person of interest into custody. No charges have been filed as of early Thursday.
