Film studio Warner Bros just magicked up some absolutely wizard news earlier today. The first Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them movie came out in 2016 followed by the Crimes of Grindelwald in 2018. Devoted fans have had to wait twice as long for the next installment in the seven-chapter saga – but we finally have a date for Part 3: The Secrets of Dumbledore.
WHEN IS FANTASTIC BEASTS 3 OUT?
The third film in the Fantastic Beasts franchise will be released on April 15, 2022. Watch the announcement below. It was originally scheduled for November 2020 before the global pandemic halted production.
WHO STARS IN FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE SECRETS OF DUMBLEDORE?
Jude Law will return as the titular character, with Eddie Redmayne as his ally, Newt Scamander. Katherine Waterston will reprise her role as Porpentina “Tina” Goldstein, alongside Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein and Ezra Miller as Credence Barebone

WHAT IS FANTASTIC BEASTS 3 ABOUT?
The film will be set in Rio, China and Germany (where Grindelwald has his mountain fortress).
The title of the third film and the ending of the second make it clear the series will now turn to look at the personal life of Albus Dumbledore. We know he was the lover of Gellert Grindelwald, who also told the orphan Credence in the final moments of the sequel that he was secretly part of the Dumbledore family.
According to Grindelwald, who can’t necessarily be trusted. Credence is really Aurelius Dumbledore. Theories are divided over whether he is the Hogwarts professor’s secret brother or even son.
The dates certainly line up. Albus was born in 1881, meaning he would have been 19 when Credence/Aurelius was born. Furthermore, since Dumbledore is gay, it is more likely any experiences he might have had with a woman happened while he was still young. Perhaps after his split from Grindelwald?
