Destiny 2 Xur location: Where is Xur today? What is he selling?

Bungie has big plans for Destiny 2 over the coming months leading up to The Witch Queen launch in 2022, and Xur will be returning each week until then.

The return of the mysterious is one of the only guaranteed things to happen in the smash-hit shooter, with plenty of other events being put on hold or being replaced.

Things are going to be busy for a while, but Guardians can rely on the return of Xur later today, Friday, September 3.

Xur will be bringing new loot to the game, and as Guardians found out last week, it is expected to offer a much wider list of items than during Season 14.

This included both Legendary and Exotic items, and it will be worth checking them all out later today.

Xur is scheduled to return to the map in a random location, providing an assortment of gear that he will swap for Legendary Shards.

Last week, Xur was selling a lot of stuff and Guardians are hoping for the same deal throughout Season 15.

Barring that, there will still be plenty of new items to check out during the Season of the Lost.

During the last week of August, Xur was selling: Tractor Cannon for 29 Legendary Shards, True Prophecy, Escape Velocity, The Last Dance, Main Ingredient, Hollow Words, Seventh Seraph SAW, Bite of the Fox, Knucklehead Radar for 23 Legendary Shards, Forged Machinist Helm, Doom Fang Pauldron for 23 Legendary Shards, Forged Machinist Gauntlets, Forged Machinist Plate, Promethium Spur for 23 Legendary Shards, and Forged Machinist Greaves.

Xur will be returning to one of his usual haunts at 6pm BST and will be available to visit until September 7.

This is when the Weekly Reset will begin and will end a number of different activities across Destiny 2.

It should also be noted that Xur will be dropping items similar in power level to your character.

And another part of Xur that is new to the latest version of Destiny 2 is that he now drops Cipher Quests for free.

The Quest will reward you with an exotic Cipher, and last week included completing 21 Strikes or winning the same number of Crucible or Gambit matches.

Every week, Guardians can acquire one Exotic Engram using Legendary Shards that will decrypt as Exotics that aren’t already in your collection.

Xur is one of the only areas of the game that remains unchanged and provides pretty much the same services as back in the original game.
