Rosie O’Donnell has found her next interviewing gig.
The ex-“The View” host is set to interview members of the conspiracy group Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth.
The organization will hold an online preview of its new film “The Unspeakable,” by conspiracy theorist Dylan Avery, Sept 10.
After the screening, O’Donnell, 59, will host a Q&A session with 9/11 family members who reportedly were cut from Spike Lee’s controversial HBO documentary “NYC Epicenters 9/11-2021½.”
The “Sleepless in Seattle” actress is a longtime 9/11 “truther” and will interview Michele Little, Bob McIlvaine, Drew DePalma and Bill Brinnier. The latter three were allegedly cut from a segment in Lee’s docuseries.
Lee, 64, received backlash when a New York Times interview was published last month and he admitted he doesn’t believe the “official explanations” of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. “The amount of heat that it takes to make steel melt, that temperature’s not reached,” the Oscar winner told the publication. “And then the juxtaposition of the way Building 7 fell to the ground — when you put it next to other building collapses that were demolitions, it’s like you’re looking at the same thing.’’
According to a press release, “The Unspeakable” is “a feature-length documentary that follows four families in their ongoing struggle to find out the truth about the deaths of their loved ones 20 years ago in the destruction of the World Trade Center.” The film will premiere on YouTube Sept. 17.
O’Donnell has a past for promoting 9/11 conspiracies and once told the Washington Post that she “still [does] not believe the official story” of the terrorist attacks. Another theory she spewed on a 2007 episode of “The View” had to do with one of the World Trade Center buildings.
The mother of five believed that one of the buildings at the World Trade Center, No. 7, was brought down by bombs on Sept. 11, 2001, in the late afternoon. However, No. 7 was not one of the towers hit by the hijacked airplanes, she explained, but a different building “that got hit by nothing — 47 floors and dropped, 5:30, into itself.
“I do believe that it’s the first time in history that fire has ever melted steel. I do believe that it defies physics that World Trade Center Tower 7 — Building 7, which collapsed in on itself — it is impossible for a building to fall the way it fell without explosives being involved,” she said.
