Leicester City are looking to add their squad on the final day of the transfer window as they are reportedly ‘edging closer’ to a deal to sign RB Leipzig winger Ademola Lookman.

The 23-year-old spent last season at relegated Fulham where he made 35 appearances in which he scored four goals.

Lookman has struggled to get game time at Leipzig and only has until 11pm to complete a move back to the Premier League.

Sky Sports have reported that the Foxes and the Bundesliga side are closing in on a deal with time ticking down.

It’s said the two clubs are yet to agree on a fee for Lookman but talks are looking more positive after the sides were some distance apart over a valuation for the player.

The Bundesliga side are now prepared to lesson their demands which could help Leicester secure the move.

Brendan Rodgers is keen to bring in another winger by the end of the transfer window.

Should they not get Lookman, there is a possibility they could look to make a late move elsewhere.

The Foxes manager has also considered the likes of Porto’s Luis Diaz and Ajax star David Neres during the window.

Lookman initially joined RB Leipzig on an impressive loan spell for the second-half of the 2017-18 season from Everton.

He later signed for the Bundesliga side in the summer of 2019 but would only go on to make 13 appearances that following season.

The Foxes could also see an outgoing deal on transfer deadline day with Dennis Praet set to join Torino with view to a permanent transfer of £12.8m.
