A Place In The Sun's Jonnie Irwin forced to pull out of event after twins take ill

Jonnie Irwin, 47, sent his apologises to fans who thought they were going to watch him play for the Lord’s Taverners, a youth cricket and disability sports charity, on Sunday. It comes after unforeseen events saw him spend the day washing sick out of his children’s bedding.

The presenter and wife Jessica, welcomed twins back in June last year, but Jonnie revealed the pair had been “projectile vomiting” over the weekend.

A slightly pressing matter, Jonnie was on washing duties as he hoped for a speedy recovery for his tots.

Taking to Instagram, the A Place In The Sun star showed his followers what he and his family were dealing with.

He posted a gruesome snap of the bed sheets covered in sick, while in the second he showed off all the washing he had to do.

A fourth added: “The joys of being a parent! Hope it passes soon – thank goodness for automatic washing machines!”

“Oh no. I thought looking after a 3 year old and a 7 year old was hard enough! Hope there is less vomit tomorrow,” a fifth had their fingers crossed for him.

While a sixth joked: “Grim pal. Grim.”

The couple have their work cut out with three children all under three years old.
