Roy Keane claims Cristiano Ronaldo will 'pull out of deal' after Man Utd display at Wolves

Roy Keane claims Cristiano Ronaldo will be looking to “pull out” of his deal to return to Manchester United after their concerning first-half display at Wolves. The Red Devils were lucky not to behind at the break as the hosts squandered a number of huge openings in the opening 45 minutes at Molineux, in what was an uncomfortable welcome to the Premier League for Raphael Varane on his United debut.

Trincao went closest when his effort was cleared off the line by Aaron Wan-Bissaka, a brilliant piece of defending by the right-back.

Adama Traore’s electric speed and power when driving with the ball was causing huge problems for United but the final ball was lacking from the Spaniard.

United did have a few chances of their own but Wolves looked the side more capable of breaking the deadlock as they took the game to the visitors.

Speaking at half-time, Keane typically packed no punches when offering his assessment of United’s performance.

“The players aren’t doing their jobs, there’s no energy to their play, there’s nobody running off the ball.

“It’s almost five-a-side football, my only worry is I hope Ronaldo isn’t watching.

“He’ll be pulling out of the deal. Really not good enough.

“I’ll be clinical of both teams because Wolves have got to be more clinical.”

Ronaldo is yet officially be confirmed as a United player, although a deal is in place with Juventus for the blockbuster signing.

CR7 is currently in Lisbon where he has undergone medical checks before completing his sensational return to Old Trafford.

United failed to get a deal over the line in time for him to feature in the Black Country, meaning his second United debut will have to wait until after the international break.

Based on the opening 45 minutes at Wolves, he will have no problems breaking into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
