Janette always knew she wanted to host the show, back when she appeared in the competition in 2013.
She told The One Show: “When I did the first It Takes Two, I thought this is the coolest job ever, you get to sit down, talk about dancing, make people feel good and celebrate their successes on the show.”
Janette and Aljaz both joined Strictly eight years ago, with the latter winning the show the same year with model Abbey Clancy.
Janette, however, has never won the series but reached the finals with HRVY in the show’s 18th series.
