Despite a whirlwind last few months, Emma Raducanu insists her life is exactly the same as it was prior to her fairytale run at Wimbledon. Raducanu became the youngest Brit to make it to the fourth round at the grass Grand Slam, which was just her second senior tournament.
The 18-year-old has since ridden a wave of newfound fame, including prime time TV slots, tickets to the 2020 European Championship and a sharp rise in social media followers.
In fact, Raducanu’s following on social media now comfortably dwarfs those of more experienced domestic tennis stars including British number one Johanna Konta.
Raducanu’s arrival in the United States has seen her gain further notoriety, as she was awarded the headline slot on the main court for the opening round of a WTA Tour event in San Jose.
The teenager was also the poster girl – quite literally – for a second-tier tournament in Chicago last week, where she reached the final.
