Mike Conley is staying in Utah.
The Jazz and the point guard came to an agreement on a three-year, $68 million deal according to multiple reports Monday. He has seemed to found his permanent home in the twilight of his career.
Utah retained a crucial member to its 52-20 team that earned the No. 1 seed in the 2021 playoffs. As a member of the Jazz last season, Conley averaged 16.2 points and six assists en route to his first All-Star appearance.
Conley has become a nice backcourt partner and somewhat of a mentor for star Donovan Mitchell. The two hope to compete for a championship after blowing a 2-0 lead to the Los Angeles Clippers in the second round of the playoffs.
The veteran point guard spent his first 12 years in the NBA as a member of the Memphis Grizzlies. In 2016, he signed a massive five-year, $153 million contract before being traded to the Jazz in 2018. In return for Conley, the Grizzlies received Grayson Allen, Jae Crowder, Kyle Korver, and two first-round picks.
