It’s been over 40 years since Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham died at the age of just 32. The rock star had accidentally choked on his vomit while asleep, after a day’s heavy drinking. The band broke up shortly afterwards and have only reunited a few times since, sometimes with Bonham’s son Jason on the drums.
Now Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant has shared he’s been dreaming of Bonham and others.
They include his father and his son Karac, who died aged 5 in 1977 from a stomach virus.
Speaking on his podcast Digging Deep, Plant said: “I’ve dreamt that I’ve been back with old friends, quite a lot, like John Bonham, like my father, my son who left when he was five.
“And they’ve been magnificent moments of great relief.”

Plant told host Matt Everitt: “The reason we’re here now is we both like what we do, and there’s a certain toll and a price that goes with it.
“At the same time, it’s way better than accountancy or whatever it might have ended up as.
“But it does create some sort of energy in me that I’ve had to manoeuvre into another part of my being – subjugate it, stick it in a corner. Because I was always on the go, always planning the next thing.”
The 72-year-old shared how when he’s asleep sometimes he’s been in a really great place.
Led Zeppelin’s final performance was in London on December 10, 2007 at the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert held in The O2 Arena.
While back in 2018, Plant was asked by the Press Association at the Silver Clef Awards what the chances of another reunion were.
The singer replied candidly: “Only in a chip shop in Camden Town! I think that’s about as close as we will get to it!
“We are very pleased and glad with our very, very short career. If you think about it, it’s only 12 years. We get on OK, but, you know.”
