Piers Morgan, 56, dramatically left Good Morning Britain back in March. Now the star has addressed his potential return, reassuring a fan he doesn’t “need” their money as they pleaded for him to come back.

Piers was responding as GMB viewers called for his return to the morning news show.

One even issued a plea to the outspoken broadcaster as they vowed to pay him a salary increase.

The fan wrote: “Come back Piers, I will personally give you a rise out of my own pocket.

“That’s how much I want you back !!!”

Speaking to The Sun back in May, he said: “They reached out – there have been approaches. Never say never.

“I have no doubt I could take the ratings back to where I left them – but the doubt is, would anyone be allowed to do it that way again?

“I was hired to give very strong, honestly held opinions, which I did.

“But in the end, I was asked to apologise for a genuinely held opinion.”

Piers left in March after coming under fire for comments he made about Meghan Markle.
