Pokemon Go Fest 2021 date, start time, schedule, tickets and Collection Challenge

Niantic is getting ready to host the latest Pokemon Go Fest for 2021.

Pokemon Go Fest 2021 is a worldwide event that takes place on July 17 and July 18.

Celebrating five years since the launch of the game, this year’s Pokemon Go Fest starts at 10am BST and ends at 6pm BST.

Fans can purchase a ticket for Pokemon Go Fest for a discounted price by visiting the in-game store.

The weekend’s celebration features a host of special collection challenges, missions and spotlighted Pokemon.

On Saturday, July 17, for example, fans will encounter 75 species of Pokemon in the wild and as part of Raids.

“Explore four themed rotating habitat hours, each with a Collection Challenge, and work together with Trainers from around the world to unlock bonuses in the Global Challenge Arena,” Niantic explains.

“Encounter over 75 species of Pokemon in the wild, in raids, and by completing Special Research tasks.”

On Sunday, July 18, Niantic will shift the focus to Legendary and Mythical Pokemon, the latter of which will appear in five-star Raids.

During Wind Hour, Mewtwo, Ho-Oh, Latias, Latios, Regigigas, Altered Forme Giratina, Cresselia, Virizion, and Therian Forme Tornadus will be available in raids.

Lava Hour is up next, as Moltres, Entei, Regirock, Groudon, Heatran, Reshiram, Terrakion, Therian Forme Landorus, and Yveltal headline raids.

Frost Hour raids include Articuno, Suicune, Lugia, Regice, Kyogre, Palkia, and Kyurem, followed by Zapdos, Raikou, Registeel, Rayquaza, Dialga, Cobalion, Therian Forme Thundurus, Zekrom, and Xerneas during Thunder Hour.

Needless to say, Pokemon Go Fest 2021 will feature a selection of special research tasks, not to mention a very special reward.

“Let’s celebrate this year’s event with a showstopping performance!

“Choose between certain Pokemon to feature in your musical show, and complete event-exclusive tasks to earn exciting rewards – including an encounter with the featured Mythical Pokemon, Meloetta!”

Finally, with Google Play acting as an official sponsor, fans can earn some special perks and surprises.

“We are very excited to welcome Google Play as the official sponsor of Pokemon GO Fest 2021!

“To make this year’s event even more epic, Google Play is offering eligible Trainers some special perks and surprises, including three months of YouTube Premium, a Google Play Points bonus, an exclusive Sponsored Gift, and a special training course hosted by The Try Guys!”
