Liverpool need to avoid Georginio Wijnaldum mistake and change transfer policy

Reds transfer chief Michael Edwards has gained a reputation for getting big money for players who are perhaps not worth the price paid, but he has an even bigger job on his hands this summer.

Liverpool, as it has been widely reported, will need to top up their transfer kitty with player sales, and there’s no use holding out for a large fee for Origi.

While he’s obviously talented, Liverpool clearly aren’t planning for the future with Origi, and need to get some sort of fee for him this summer, regardless of whether they feel it matches his market value or not.

Edwards and Jurgen Klopp need to avoid a repeat of Wijnaldum’s exit, and it could be crucial to any transfer plans of their own.
