A Place in the Sun's Jean Johansson consoles tearful guest over property rejection

The first thing the presenter explained was there were no building sites and proceeded to show the couple the three-bedroom, semi-detached house.

On the market for £105,000, Jean said the price was negotiable and went on to show the pair the interior, which included a roof terrace.

Bev and Paul agreed it would be a contender alongside property number three but they had the evening to discuss which one they wanted to go for.

In a shocking turn of events, the couple took property number five out of the running and brought back property number four.

They told Jean they were going to go home and instruct their lawyers to find out more about the building work before they put an offer in.

Before the credits rolled, Jean told viewers the couple were making the move to Spain for property number four after having their offer accepted.

A Place in the Sun airs weekdays at 3pm on Channel 4.
