Talking to former football player ‘Big Sam’, the husband of Judy Finnegan went on a “cringeworthy” spiel, praising England’s 4-0 defeat of Ukraine.
Sitting next to Susanna, Richard gushed over the sport while Sam looked less than impressed.
Gesticulating wildly, he said: “What I’ve always wondered and really unprecedented from this team was the way that the English forwards really went up to their defenders and they basically said, ‘I’m coming through you, I’m sorry, there may be two or three of you but I’m going to weave through and cross.'”
His co-presenter seemingly struggled to stifle a giggle as he continued his gushing praise of the nation’s football team.
