Mets-Yankees’ Subway Series opener rained out

The Subway Series will have to wait.

The game between the Yankees and Mets at Yankee Stadium was postponed because of rain Friday night and will be made up as part of a split-admission doubleheader on Sunday at 2:05 p.m. The second game is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

Tickets for Friday night’s postponed game may be used for the rescheduled first game on Sunday or be exchanged for tickets to a similar regular season game this year.

Jordan Montgomery is slated to start Saturday’s game against the Mets, with Gerrit Cole pushed back to one of the games on Sunday. Yankees manager Aaron Boone said the other starter on Sunday is still to be determined.
