Martin Roberts: Homes Under The Hammer host mocked by fan after they spot error

Martin Roberts, 57, is used to getting all sorts of questions fired at him during his weekly Q&A sessions on Twitter. But this week he found himself being mocked by a fan for a clumsy spelling mistake.

“My gran used to make it and the house used to stink for days. Chutney however, now you’re talking.”

Unaware of his spelling mistake where he accidentally typed Piccadilly instead of piccalilly, the viewer decided to have some fun.

They responded cheekily: “Yh I’m not sure about this in a sarnie either…”[sic]

The caption was posted alongside a photo of a Piccadilly tube line train, where they hoped the Homes Under The Hammer presenter would put two and two together at his error.

Elsewhere, Martin had to turn down a viewer’s sweet proposal due to committments of his own.

Away from the property questions, one fan had another more personal query, wondering whether he would like to attend their friend’s wedding reception.

“Hi Martin,” they penned, “My friend gets married on 10th July, it’s in Halifax.

“Would be great if you could make it to the night do.”
