Woman pushed onto NYC subway tracks in unprovoked attack

A woman was pushed onto the tracks in an unprovoked attack at a Brooklyn subway station Tuesday, police said.

The woman was standing on the Queens-bound J platform at the Broadway Junction station around 1:45 p.m. when the stranger shoved her onto the tracks, cops said.

The woman did not make contact with a train but suffered a deep cut to her leg. She was taken to Brookdale Hospital for treatment. 

The person who shoved her was taken into custody but no information was immediately available about them, cops said.
