Before I get started with the Vivo Y91i specs or with an in-depth Vivo Y91i review (or Vivo Y91 review), let me tell you that the Vivo Y91 specs is same as the Vivo Y91i’s specs with only difference being the RAM and storage. Other than that Vivo Y91 and Y91i is entirely a same phone when check into its specs. The variant with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage is named as Vivo Y91i and the 3/64GB variant goes by the name of Vivo Y91. Here’s the list of prices of the phones in various countries.

On the display side, the phone comes with a tall 6.22-inch IPS panel with a tiny notch on the top. Vivo has baptized such types of display as Halo display. Talking about the resolution, the Vivo Y91 Halo display features HD+ resolution, which packs 270PPI of pixel density in every inch. So the contents on the screen doesn’t look that sharp.
Moving on to the performance, the phone packs MediaTek Helio P22 chipset. On the memory front, the Vivo Y91 comes with 3GB RAM and 64GB of storage whereas the Vivo Y91i comes in a 2GB RAM, 32GB storage format. Since the SD450 is better performer than the Helio P22, we found the performance on Oppo A3s to be better than the Y91 while doing the Vivo Y91 vs Oppo A3s comparison. Since, it’s not a gaming phone, it may not please you much while playing the graphics-intensive games. While doing the Vivo Y91 gaming review, I faced numerous lags and stutter while playing high-end games. While playing PUBG and Asphalt 9 in my Vivo Y91 gaming test, I faced frame drops in a number of occasions. If you are curious about the Vivo Y91 benchmark, the phone scores around 60,000 in the AnTuTu benchmark test.
Camera wise, Vivo Y91 features a dual camera setup at the back and a single selfie camera on the front. On our Vivo Y91 camera test, we found the handset really disappointing. On doing the Vivo Y91 camera review, we found the camera samples lacking the punch. The captured images didn’t have the sharpness and color reproduction wasn’t impressive either.
The biggest highlight of the phone is its battery. Vivo Y91 battery is really massive with the capacity of 4030mAh. So, it provides a substantial backup even while performing demanding tasks. But charging the device was pain in the neck. The device comes with 5W (5V/1A) of stock charger, which takes around 4 hours to get the device fully charged.
