Bette Midler announces ‘Hocus Pocus 2’ is coming — but you’ll have to wait

Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy are coming to put a spell on you, again.

With a cauldron of new potions and plotlines brewing, the trio of award-winning witches are teaming up to reprise their roles as the sorcerous Sanderson sisters in the sequel to Disney’s 1993 classic “Hocus Pocus.”

“Sistaaaahs! It’s been 300 years … But we’re BACK!,” Midler, 75, tweeted Thursday, adding the witch’s broom emoji for some razzle-dazzle.

The Emmy, Grammy, Tony and Golden Globe winner added that the sequel is due fall 2022 on Disney+.

“Yep. I’m ready. To run. Amok, amok, amok, amok,” Parker, 56, shared on Instagram.

“The people have spoken: I smell children … again,” Najimy, 64, wrote.

Conjuring up more comedy based on the nearly three-decade-old blockbuster, Midler, Parker and Najimy will once again make big-screen magic as three sisters who were hanged during the Salem witch trails in 1693 Massachusetts and accidentally get brought back to life centuries years later.

In the forthcoming sequel, the band of enchantresses will be revived by three young women in modern-day Salem, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The millennials fight to stop the coven of child-hungry witches from serving up some kids with a side of newt.

The resurrected Hollywood hit will be directed by Anne Fletcher, whose credits include “The Proposal” and “27 Dresses.” Adam Shankman had been slated to capture the toil and trouble from the director’s chair, but he will instead serve as an executive producer.

“I am so grateful to be able to play a part in bringing these witches back to life, and to be working with my friends at Disney again makes it all the more special,” Fletcher, 55, said in a statement. “This is a movie for everyone, from the fans who grew up with the first film to the next generation of viewers, and I can’t wait to get started.”

And spellbound fans of the original “Hocus Pocus” can’t wait to see the Sanderson sisters run amok, amok, amok again.

“I am so excited. I loved Hocus Pocus. It is our family Halloween tradition to watch every year!,” one creep-loving commentator wrote in response to Midler’s Twitter announcement.

“YASSSSSSS! The official announcement we’ve All been waiting for!!!! #HocusPocus is my favorite Halloween movie! We watch it every year! It’s a classic! The sequel is finally coming and I’m so grateful all 3 Sanderson sistahs are coming back to play! Can’t wait for #HocusPocus2!,” another spook-seeker said.
