Enough with Rodriguez and Lopez. Letter writers admit that I said repeatedly — months ago — they’d never marry. I knew it. I knew lots. I knew she craved whatever he was giving her. I knew he needed whatever he got from her. Business for both. It spelled BS. Orgiastic for publicity, now pushing pros for even more public relations — which I also know — she won’t be happy until her behind, retouched or not, is on fire hydrants. Meanwhile, she’ll tumble with yet another guy. Another temp. Even maybe not one as exemplary, upstanding and pure as the latest, newest, most recent former truth-wrestler Rodriguez who, it’s rumored, might now be onto younger bones.

Israel’s Independence Day last week brought memories. I was there in its earliest days of pioneers Menachem Begin, Moshe Dayan, Golda Meir. A rough frontier country — equal to our covered wagon days. Food and water was rationed. Because my husband was fund-raising bonds for Israel, a sheik invited us — for food — to the Negev. Then an arid empty desert. He honored me with their equal of a VIP tasty. The eye of a dead sheep. I hid it in a pocket.
With things in our country bad enough, comes the thought that Biden showed up for work today.
Maybe thought only in New York, kids, only in New York.
