Islanders acquire Devils’ Kyle Palmieri, Travis Zajac in pre-deadline deal

Islanders general manager Lou Lamoriello made a deal with the Devils on Wednesday, acquiring forwards Kyle Palmieri and Travis Zajac from his former team for a collection of draft picks, including a first-rounder in 2021, according to a press release.

The Devils also acquired young forwards A.J. Greer and Mason Jobst, in addition to a fourth-round pick from the Islanders, who are tied for first in the East Division after falling two games short of the Stanley Cup Final.
